In a summary:

To design your bed with Premier Inn at Home, you’ll go through four steps depending on the type of bed you choose. If opting for a divan, you’ll have the option to choose the size, headboard and mattress. If a bed frame, you can choose the type of frame, the size, the leg type and the mattress.

Sometimes finding a new bed can be a bit daunting. With so many options on the market combined with the pressure of finding an option to suit your bedroom design and size, it can become overwhelming. Until now.

At Premier Inn At Home, our mission is to recreate the comfort of a hotel escape in the comfort of your own home. And a big part of that is through the bed design in which we’ve tailored to your needs through a simple 4-step process, which begins with the choice of a luxury divan bed or a bed frame.

The design steps for each of the two products goes as follows:

Choose Your Base

Your base is the foundation of your bed; it’s what supports your mattress, thus supporting you. The two types we offer here at Premier Inn At Home are divans and bed frames. And to make the decision super easy on which you go for, we’ve outlined the key specifications of both below:

Divan Beds

  • Divans are ideal for modern rooms that require extra storage while maintaining a clean, minimalist look.

  • Our divans are upholstered in a stunning textured fabric that looks and feels natural for a premium touch. We have 7 colourways to choose from, so that your bedroom can remain cohesive throughout.

  • In terms of storage, you can opt for none, 2 drawers, ottoman, or even a half ottoman and half drawer setup. What it comes down to is what you want to store, if you want to store anything and if you have the room for obtruding drawers.

Bed Frames

  • Bed frames are more of a stylish option as they often create a statement or look more decorative, making them suitable for both contemporary and traditional homes.

  • We have 3 style options available at Premier Inn At Home: Evana (standard), Oriana and Lilith. These are all upholstered to the highest standard, and in neutral colourways.

How do I match a bed design to my existing bedroom aesthetic?

Firstly, you’ll want to identify the theme of your room. If it’s a Scandinavian look, wood tones and neutrals will work well. On the other hand, more modern décor may suit elements like clean lines and chrome features. It’s also important you focus your attention mostly on the headboard as this is the main focal point of any bed, and make sure the bed size and headboard height compliment the room to enhance the space and not overwhelm it.

Choose Your Legs (Bed Frame Only)

To top the frame off, you can choose from 5 leg options; the perfect finishing touch to a beautifully designed bed. These are Beech Wood, Dark Wood, Chrome, Oak Wood Slanted and Dark Wood Slanted, allowing you to match them to your fixtures or accent colour.

Choose Your Size

The simplest decision of them all in our bed design process; it’s time to choose which size bed you need. Our collection ranges from single to super king, depending on which bed type you opt for. But to ensure you make the right decision, we recommend you consider:

  1. The size of your room

  2. The surrounding space (Is there enough mobility room?)

  3. Who will be using the bed (Just you or you and a partner/pet?)

  4. Long term comfort

The right bed size should complement both the room and the sleeper’s lifestyle.

Choose Your Headboard (Divan Bed Only)

Next is the headboard, but this is only a step if you opt for a divan bed from us. A headboard is so much more than an eye-catching addition to a room or bed; they’re also vital for keeping you supported and comfortable while you sit up in bed and provide stability for your mattress. Not to mention, a well-structured headboard will also protect your walls from any wear and tear during the night. We have four beautifully constructed and upholstered headboard options to choose from, or you can opt for ‘without’ if you wish:

  • Hayez

  • Merlin

  • Goya

  • Siena

Which you choose will determine the price of the headboard, but we recommend you opt for one that fits in with your bedroom décor; whether that’s a minimalist or striking design. For reference, our bed frames are constructed with a headboard as standard.

Choose Your Mattress

For the fourth and final step for each bed type, it’s time to pick your mattress. This is the most crucial step as it’ll determine your sleep quality through comfort and support. The Premier Inn Mattress 2.0 is designed to offer the premium comfort you experience in a hotel, so you get the best sleep possible.

When shopping for the right mattress for you, you should consider:

  • The firmness level you prefer

  • The support requirements for your back and joints

  • Durability

  • Breathability
